Trying to recall disturbing stop motion?

I remember when i was about 5 or 6 in my primary school i watched this creepy stop motion of fairy tales, (not my favourite things i guess) one of them was the nutcracker and i remember one scene where it showed shots of the owl clock in the dark as the girl moved around the house. Another scene was where this professor/engineer made a clockwork/musical version of a sleeping princess and in the end the real princess and the prince exit the house where the engineer/professor. and the clockwork creation were. I've been looking all over the internet but mostly no success. However the closest thing to it (which i thought it was IT) was the 1979 The Nutcracker Fantasy, but that had no scenes i remember seeing. I might seem i have a vivid imagination but i swear i saw something like it.
