Fundraising?

How do you go about to do a fund raisier for a cause? The cause I want to do is for the Shaken Baby Syndrome. I want to raise money for families that are going through this that need help with medical bills, things that the families will need. I have been keeping up with updates on a little boy named Kaleb. I do not know the family at all, but his story touched me. I am sure you have heard about it through myspace.com. I want to help. As a mother of two boys, one 10, and one only 6 months, and i think if the situation was turned and it was my 6 mth old, I would not know what to do. This is a wonderful cause!!!!!! Just don't know how to go about for what I am strongly into.
