Please explain my eye prescription: Sph +0.5 Cyl -0.25 Axis 180 for both eyes?

I was told by the optometrist that it is a borderline prescription and it is my choice whether I want to get gles. Will I see an improvement in vision if I get gles for such a mild prescription?
