Why do some parents spoil their chidren, allow them to misbehave and take up for their wrong doing?

Spoiling is easier than disciplining. Quite frankly, some parents are too lazy and/or overworked to discipline their children, and therefore should not be parents in the first place. Then, too, spoiling can be the sign of a weak person, one who is not strong enough to be the "bad guy" and/or has to beg for friendship - even from his own children.
